New Partners Named
Madison, Wisconsin, March 1, 2009 — Associates Marcus Berghahn, Andrew Erlandson and John Hyland’s have been named partners in the firm.

Marcus Berghahn is a partner with the criminal division at the firm. He concentrates his practice on defense of individuals and corporations accused of misconduct. He appears regularly in state and federal courts, handling all types of criminal cases – most often involving white-collar types of offenses – from investigation, through trial and appeal. Marcus is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Dane County Criminal Defense Bar Association, Dane County Bar Association, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin Bar Association, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
Andrew Erlandson is a partner with the litigation division of the firm. He specializes in commercial litigation. Andy has appeared before the Wisconsin appellate and Supreme Courts and handles all varieties of commercial disputes. He has spoken and written on a variety of topics during his career, including intellectual property, non-competition agreements, "business divorce," loss prevention, subrogation issues, and Indian law. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a member of the Wisconsin and American Bar Associations.
John Hyland is a partner in the criminal division of the firm. John's practice in criminal defense has included all varieties of criminal conduct and traffic matters, including felonies, misdemeanors and all levels of operating while intoxicated charges. In April 2008, John was elected municipal judge in a contested election in the Village of Waunakee, Wisconsin. John is enjoying his service on the bench, especially since it provides an opportunity to have an impact on his community. As a judge he handles violations of municipal and traffic ordinances, as well as juvenile cases, including habitual truancy.
